Massachusetts House & Senate Override Governor’s Veto
August 2, 2015
For the second year in a row the Massachusetts Legislature has voted to restore the $100,000 earmark for the operation of Blue Hill Observatory & Science Center.
Last Thursday, July 30th, the state legislature, which recognized the Observatory’s critical role in climate research and education with the $100,000 earmark, reviewed all items vetoed by Governor Baker and voted to restore the $100,000 earmark that is so critical for continuing our historic climate study and educational programming. All of us at the Observatory would like to thank those of you who called your legislature to urge their support.
